Doble Ocho presents in september 2010: a Tangoproduction during Ruhr 2010 Cultural programme

In the context of the programme of Ruhr as Cultural Capital 2010, Doble Ocho persents a tangoproduction on three different locations in Holland and Germany in September. This special production is realized through a cooperation between German and Dutch tangodancers. On all three locations there will be a possibility to dance after the performance. Nocturna in Café Ada

After several shows in Holland and playing at the Berlin tangofestival, Nocturnos, winner of the Concurso del Ocho 2010, will play at Café Ada in Wuppertal on the 4th of September. The concert starts at 20.30 and afterwards there’s a open-ended milonga. Norteños in the Toonzaal

On the 2nd of October Norteños plays at the Toonzaal in Den Bosch. This tango-ensemble has strongly evolved after winning the Concurso del Ocho encouragement prize. The ensemble has been extended with new, enthousiastic musicians and built out their repetoire. Inspired by the first vocal tango’s (the tango canciones) from the years ’20 till ’50, they will play their beautiful oeuvre to listen and dance to at the opening of the tangoseason in Musiccentre De Toonzaal.
